A culture-filled November in Lisbon

November brings a lovely excuse to come in from the Atlantic air for a film, a performance, or live music. Here are three confirmed festivals to build a relaxed evening around.

Last checked 31 October 2026 · Dates and programme details can change.

Lisbon’s cultural calendar turns especially lively in November. Rather than trying to fit every event into one trip, choose the kind of evening you enjoy, then check the venue and session time before you set off. The events below are scheduled for November 2026 according to their organizers or Visit Lisboa.

For a film-first evening: LEFFEST

The 20th edition of LEFFEST runs from 6–15 November. Its programme spans several city venues, including Cinema São Jorge, Culturgest, NOS Vasco da Gama and Nimas. It’s a good fit if you enjoy making a night of one screening and a nearby dinner; check the festival’s current timetable for the exact film, cinema and language details.

For performance and dance: Alkantara

Alkantara Festival is scheduled for 13–29 November, with theatre, dance and performance across venues including CCB, Culturgest, MAAT and Teatro Nacional D. Maria II. Since the festival moves around the city, check the venue on each event listing before choosing where to stay or how to travel that evening.

For a music-led night: Misty Fest

Misty Fest runs from 1–29 November, with Lisbon dates at several venues. Visit Lisboa’s current listing includes artists such as Cat Power, Frazey Ford, East Forest and Surma. Check the live programme for the latest schedule and ticket information; listings may change.

A softer way to plan it

Pick one event close to the part of town you already want to explore. Leave a little breathing room for dinner, a slow walk, or a tram ride across the centre. If you’re deciding what to see in daylight, our first-trip Lisbon guide is a useful companion; for a more hands-on afternoon, browse the Lisbon street-art guide.

Schedules and ticket availability are set by the organizers. Confirm the exact venue, doors and start time before travelling, especially if you are crossing the city between plans.
